Materials & Tools


  • Worsted weight yarn

  • Crochet hook- 3.75mm

  • Fiberfill

  • Darning Needle

  • Stitch Marker

  • Scissors

  • Safety eyes


Abbreviations


  • MR - Magic Ring

  • sc - single crochet

  • hdc inc - half double crochet increase

  • inc - increase

  • dec - decrease

  • sl st - slip stitch

  • ch - chain

  • * - number of repeats

  • (6) - total number of stitches in a round

  • R - row

  • st(s) - stitch(es)

  • F/O- finish off


Notes


  • Body is worked in continuous rounds

  • Place stitch marker in last stitch of every round unless you prefer otherwise

  • The legs are connected and the body is worked in one piece all the way up to the head

  • The arms are sewed on last

  • You may use any yarn or hook size for this pattern that you wish! The above materials are suggestions only.



Legs (Make 2)


R1 6 sc into a MR (6)

R2 (1 sc, inc) around (9)

R3 2 sc, hdc increase, 6 sc (10)

R4 2 sc, sc dec, 6 sc (9)

R5 2 sc, sc dec, 5 sc (8)

R6-8 sc around for 3 rows (8)


* F/O first leg. Do not F/O second leg, but continue on to R9. Stuff legs, but pinch at the sc dec's to maintain the shape of the feet.

Body


R9 sc in next stitch, ch 2, sc in 1st leg (about 3 sts back from the place where you f/o), sc in the next 7 sts of the 1st leg, sc into the next 2 ch, sc in next 7 sts of 2nd leg (18 sc, 2 ch)


*The unworked side of ch 2 counts as 2 sts

R10 sc around (make sure you sc into the other side of the ch 2) (20)

R11 11 sc, sc inc in next 3 sts, 6 sc (23)


*Start stuffing as you go


R12-15 sc around for 4 rows (23)

R16 (4 sc, dec) *3 times, 5 sc (20)

*Stuff body firmly

R26-30 sc around for 5 rows (36)

R31 (4 sc, dec) around (30)

*Place eyes between R29 and R30, about 4 sts apart

*After placing eyes, start stuffing head as you go

*I do not stuff my arms

*Fold top together and sc into 2 stitches, F/O, and leave a long tail for sewing

*Attach arms on R21 of body right under beginning of head
