Materials & Tools
Worsted weight yarn
Crochet hook - 3.75mm
Fiberfill
Darning Needle
Stitch Marker
Scissors
Optional: Button for back closure
Abbreviations
MR - Magic Ring
sc - single crochet
inc - increase
sl st - slip stitch
ch - chain
st(s) - stitch(es)
(6) - total number of stitches in a round
R - row
F/O - finish off
Notes
Ch 1 does not count as a stitch
Ch 2 does not count as a stitch
The above materials are suggestions only, but you must use the same yarn weight and hook size as used on the Amigurumi Doll Body pattern
Make sure you try your doll's dress on throughout the process of making it. Due to the variations in tension and differences in size due to stuffing of the doll body, the dress may be too snug or too big. If for some reason this happens, try the following methods.
Go up half a hook size for a dress that is too small
Go down half a hook size for a dress that is too big
R1-6 are worked in rows going back and forth. R7-10 are connected with a sl st and worked in a circle.
Doll Dress
R1 Ch 17, sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, and sc into next 15 ch's (16)
R2 Ch 1 and turn, 2 sc, (ch 3, skip 3 sts), 6 sc, (ch 3, skip 3 sts), 2 sc (10 sc, 6 ch)
*Arm holes were made with the Ch 3 spaces

R3 Ch 1 and turn, sc in every st and ch across (16)
R4 Ch 1 and turn, (3 sc, inc) across (20)
R5 Ch 1 and turn, (4 sc, inc) across (24)
R6 Ch 1 and turn, (5 sc, inc) across (28)

*Bring the 2 sides together and sl st into the first st of R6
R7 Ch 2, dc in same stitch, (dc around), sl st to 1st dc (28)
R8 Ch 2, dc in same stitch, 2 dc in next st, (dc, inc) repeat around, sl st to 1st dc (42)
R9 Ch 2, dc in same stitch, dc in next st, inc in next, (2 dc, inc) repeat around, sl st to 1st dc (56)

Border
R10 Ch 2, 3 dc in next stitch, skip next st, sl st in next st, sk next st, (3 dc, skip st, sl st, skip st) repeat around, sl st to 1st dc (42 dc, 14 sl st)
F/O and weave in ends

*Add a button to close up the back or use beginning yarn tail to sew the dress opening together to make it more permanent.
